Understanding diode lasers: wavelengths, handpiece and cooling
What sets our two diode lasers apart? An introduction to their features, use and the questions that matter before you buy.

A system is about more than just a power rating.
When comparing diode lasers, it is worth considering the overall device concept: wavelengths, handpiece, spot sizes, cooling and operation all work together. The intended application, personal instruction and technical support also matter.
Wavelengths: three or four?
The ATWX 1600 has four wavelengths, while the ATWX 2400 has three. The number alone does not determine which system is right for your business. In a personal consultation, we consider the specifications alongside your offering and your business’s requirements.
Handpiece and spot sizes
The ATWX 2400 comes with four interchangeable handpieces with spot sizes of 12 × 34 mm, 12 × 25 mm, 12 × 12 mm and 6 mm. Different spot sizes allow you to select the right size for different treatment areas. The ATWX 1600 has its own handpiece configuration, so the equipment of the 2400 model cannot simply be transferred to it.
Cooling and operation
Both device concepts feature contact cooling. Cooling and handpiece operation are covered in the practical device training. The ATWX 2400 also uses an AI camera to support parameter selection. This device function does not replace the user’s experience and training.
What are the devices intended to be used for?
Our two diode laser pages describe professional cosmetic hair removal. The detail pages provide information on the respective equipment, intended user group and conformity details for the specific model. We consider these points together with you before making a selection.
